New Delhi, March 20: ED officials raided the house of 'Meat' Businessman Moin Qureshi at Delhi residence on Monday. During the raids, the officials also recovered the country-foreign currency worth Rs 3 crore from Qureshi's house and also registered case against Moin Qureshi.
On Monday, once again , Meat businessman Moin Qureshi came under the hammer of investigating agencies, when ED officers recovered millions of country-foreign currency from his home. On the request of ED, the CBI has registered a case against Moin Qureshi.
ED officials also raided several locations of Qureshi in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad and Chennai. Also, former CBI Director, A.P. Singh's residence was also searched. It is noteworthy that during the hearing of the coal scam case, the Income Tax Department has given Moin Qureshi and Singh to the Supreme Court. Information about relations between Singh was given.
In this case both the ED and the CBI are investigating agencies. Earlier in this case, the ED had questioned Quresh in September 2016 on the Delhi airport . Soon after the interrogation, Qureshi left for Dubai. During that time there was a stir between the investigating agencies that Qureshi left the country and ran away. Qureshi is allegedly accused of sending 200 million rupees abroad through tax evasion and hawala.
