Mumbai, February 9: Bombay High Court today rejected the petition filed by Rabia Khan (late actress Jiah Khan's mother). She had demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe in actress Jiah Khan's suicide case.
On June 3, 2013 Jiah Khan was found hanging from the ceiling of her house. Her mother was the first person to discover her dead. Significantly, she had returned that morning from actor Sooraj Pancholi's house. She was in relation with him.
Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on June 10, 2013, for abetting Jiah’s suicide, but released on July 2 that year, after the high court granted him bail.
Jiah Khan was a British American actress and singer who appeared in Hindi films. She made her debut in Bollywood industry with Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd featuring Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
