According to the news published in a magazine, Bollywoodhungama.com, Malaika wanted to end her relationship. According to a source, in this report it has been said that Malika always had problems with Arbaz's flop career and she had trouble with the fact that her husband lives in the umbrella of her superstar brother.

The source also said that Malika always felt like an outsider in Khan family, and perhaps this was the reason that she did not pay any attention to Salman Khan's advice to save her marriage, because she never felt connected to him.
