Presidential election: Polling ends, threat of cross voting by 'AAP' leaders

Between the fear of cross-voting, the legislators in the Delhi Assembly voted for the presidential election. Voting for the presidential election of 2017 ends and now the result will be announced on July 20. BJP feared that many MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party have voted in favour of NDA candidate. On the support of the candidate of the opposition BJP has named the Aam Aadmi Party as the Congress B team.

Most MLAs in the Delhi Assembly voted for presidential election Though in the morning, the voters' percentage was slow. But by the evening, everyone used their own opinion except two legislators Saurabh Bhardwaj and Devendra Saharavat. Presidential election is also important for the Aam Aadmi Party, because the legislators did not have the whip restriction. Hence the possibility of cross voting of several legislators including former minister Kapil Mishra can not be ruled out. CM and Deputy CM could not even believe that 65 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party are united and only the candidate of the Opposition has voted for Meira Kumar.

Former minister Kapil Mishra did not disclose but asserted that he has voted to the only candidate going to be the president. Kapil's gesture can be understood. At the same time, Gopal Rai told Presidential elections are the election of democratic values.

Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly has alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party has not been appointed by the polling agent in view of the elections. Delhi leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta also targeted the Aam Aadmi Party on the support of Meira Kumar and termed it as Congress B team.

The results of the elections will be disclosed on 20th July.
