On Tuesday, Haryana cabinet has decided that the state will prohibit the release of controversial film 'Padmaavat'. The Government has taken this decision in view of the heavy opposition of Rajput society in the state. Let us tell you that the censor board has granted the permission after the change in its name from Padmavati to 'Padmaavat' and to change the controversial song 'Ghumar' and after the news of 300 cuts, it has been allowed to be released on January 25.

Prior to this, the release of the film was stopped in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa , Uttarakhand and Gujarat. At the same time, CM Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh had earlier opposed this film, but after the cuts, he has not made any clear statement whether it will be released in the state or not .

Significantly, this film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is in dispute only since the time of the shoot. During the shooting of this film, the main opposition team Karani Sena attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Jaipur. After the release of its trailer, the controversy increased to such an extent that the court had to intervene and the release date of the film was postponed from the first week of December 2017 and after the cut by the censor board and the name change of the movie, it got permission to release. Now it will be interesting to see which states will allow this high-voltage film to be released.
