Holi is a festival of colors and we know that how much we all love this deliciously colorful festival. This is one festival where you don't need to be clean and tidy, only one festival which you can celebrate in your old clothes and torn one even.

Holika dehan is the important ritual and reason behind this festival of color and happiness. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter and many good things which have a impact on human life.

Different different states are having their own tradition of celebrating this festival of colors. _For example: _

**Braj:** Braj is famous for it's 'Lathh maar' holi. In Braj, during the occassion of this festival, women have the option to playfully hit men who save themselves with shields. This ritual is known as lath Maar Holi.

**Odisha:** In Odisha people celebrate "Dola" on the holi day where the icons of Jagganath relace the icons of Krishna and Radha for prayers.

**Telangana:** In rural Telangana, children celebrate kamuda and collect money, rice, Mokkajonna and wood for weeks prior to Holi, and on Kamudha night all the wood is put together and set on fire.

Holi is a part of every state and every culture in India, it's just that they all celebrate it in their own way. And now when Holi is tomorrow, Let's just prepare yourself with having lots of Gujias and over sweetened mithais and dahi bhalla because yes, Delhi is famous for these two very famous dishes.
